Elaine Stypula is an attorney dedicated to helping families throughout the area. She has more than 20 years of legal experience, guiding clients to successful resolutions of complex divorce, family law, and custody issues.
Education
She earned her B.A. in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. in psychology from Central Michigan University. She graduated from Wayne State University Law School and has been practicing law since 1999.
Experience
In addition to practicing law, Elaine has served as a part-time professor of psychology at Central Michigan University. She is also a member of the Michigan Inter-Professional Association and the Collaborative Law Institute of Michigan. Additionally, Elaine is a trained collaborative law attorney.
Elaine worked in the corporate arena for 10 years prior to practicing law and worked as an intern at both the United States Attorney’s Office and the Michigan Court of Appeals.

In her free time, Elaine has completed multiple Ironman triathlons and currently competes in ultra distance runs, adventure races of 100 or more miles and mountain climbing.
